I got transferred... (Sept 8)

HELLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO

it's a beautiful day the sun is shining it's not raining i can hear children's songs in the background here at the library annnnnnnndddddd I AM BEING TRANSFERRED!!!!! ya what the heck right? I was so surprised. I knew that me and sister payze wouldn't stay together because this last week I  was talking President Lindsay about our work and getting advice on how to further it in Maylands, he told me just to keep going for the next couple of days and I knew that we wouldn't stay together. So i've been transferred to North Coast zone... Heath Ridge doubled in with Sister Hancock... who is an aussie and is just returning to the mission after having knee surgery. Maylands is actually being absorbed into the other areas in our district and the whole zone boundaries are being remade so that's pretty crazy. AND i just found out that my sister training leader is going to be sister ensign AND we are going to be in the same district. BEST. DAY. EVER.
ok so lets talk about missionary work since it's been a few weeks since i've been able to do that. To start off I want every person to know that any sort of frustration or sadness can and WILL be remedied through loving Christ more and serving him more fully.Monday started out great, and me and Sister Payze were really able to go and work hard. We contacted some unknown people on the Ward list down by the most beautiful lake and river, seriously I wish I had known that this area was part of our area because I'd eat lunch there every day. We met the edwards on Monday night who we had down as being baptized but unordained. When we asked them about it they said that they were never baptized but had met missionaries a few times through out their lives. They are originally from Canada so they are REALLY nice. He said that we could come back later that week though and share our message because he's been looking for a good religion his whole life. We are still a little confused about the whole he doesn't know that he's been baptized but we are working through it.
skip forward to Wednesday....
AWESOME DAY! We went on exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders Sister Arnold and Sister Terripia.  Me and Sister Arnold had the BEST day. We were able to contact 40 people! AND get 2 new investigators!!!! SO AMAZING! So we went and visited the Edwards and we talked to him about the book of mormon. HE LOVED it and he's going to read it next the pool when he goes on vacation. The best part of the day though was talking to Sister Arnold about what we have learned this transfer. Even though this has been the hardest 6 weeks of my life I have never felt so close to my heavenly father. ok wait no the best part of the day was being able to talk to so many people about the gospel. i was so tired by the end of the day but I KNEW that I had lived up to my potential as a missionary.
Yesterday we were able to have an amazing lesson with Alfred. I was worried about half way through that we were going to have to drop him because he has been struggling to come to church. We were able to pull out what his real concerns were and then able to resolve them through the book of mormon. I love teaching Alf because I have seen his intent to learn grow. When we first started teaching him he wanted to know but I think he was a little skeptical about if HE could really find out these answers. He was pretty content just waiting till the next life.  but now we were able to explain to him that TODAY is the time to prepare to meet god and that he can find out right now in this life all the questions that he doesn't have answers for.
I LOVE being a missionary. and I am so grateful that through losing myself in the work my heartaches have been healed and I have found my fullness of joy. I love you family (and others that read this that aren't my family)

xoxo
Sister Wyatt
