this is happiness: Gabriela Beatriz Martinez

I have a best friend... she's cuban.... she's from texas.... she's kind of weird... her name is Gabriela Beatriz Martinez - De La Mare.

the first time i ever met gabby was.... well i don't actually remember... i moved to college and met her room mate whitney (who is another one of my best friends) and she's kind of just always been apart of my life ever since August 25th 2009.

the first time we ever hung out just the two of us was at the world of dance concert. its funny because both of us were like this might be really weird but it turned out to the beginning of a beautiful friendship

what is important for you to know about gabby? well lets see... she is from texas and she will gladly tell you all the reasons why texas really is it's own country and why it totally makes sense for them to have their own pledge and it is necesesary for every house to have a texas flag displayed on the wall.

oddly i couldn't find a picture of gabby with a texas flag but when i got this shirt from one of my retreat girls i sent this picture to her... giving her the satisfaction of me admiting texas might be alright afterall

gabby is a sass! and i mean it she has some serious attitude. One time our friend Bryson walked into our apartment and was like "it smells like sass in here!" all though me and kim both can be pretty sassy i would have to say that gabby out does all of us combined which really just adds to her carm right?

gabby has this weird obsession with doing things to her hair.....

Gabby is an elementary education major she is the most patient and the most kind person i know... she is going to be a fantastic teacher!

Gabby is dramatic, she hates snow, cold, and any sort of upward incline that she must walk/ride her bike up.... this is not very conducive to Utah conditions

Gabby has one weakness.... i honestly believe that if everyone that she knew decided to jump off a bridge and told her it would be fun... she would do it. haha it really turns out to be a good thing because how would we ever get her to hike the Y?! or climb mt. timpanogos at 2 in the morning?

Gabby loves to stay up late... her most productive time of day is about 3 am... probably because nobody is awake to distract her! and because of this she never sleeps during finals week.... in fact she usually becomes deathly ill during finals and yet i still try to spend as much time as possible with her

Gabby loves all things BYU. And I truly believe that it took every ounce of the spirit of BYU to get her to move to Utah... if there was a BYU texas she wouldn't even consider coming here.

gabby is kinda a hipster... she listens to hipster music... she wears your grandma's clothes that you send to DI.... she has a beach cruiser bike even though she hates riding bikes.... also she's a vegan, which just seems hipstery right?!

gabby was in a movie! she's famous!

gabby is HILLARIOUS! i am constantly laughing when i'm around her. whether its at her ridiculous statements about hating utah, or how she is engaged to her boy friend clause from finland she's a hoot. totes def my bffl
