always laugh when you can it's cheap medicine

laughing is my favorite thing.  hands down i think it is the number one requirement for me to like a guy.  if he can make me laugh then there is a pretty good chance that i'll fall for the guy.... not that it's that easy or anything it's just a really good sign if i laugh at a guy.
one of my favorite memories from freshman year was when me and whitney were just hanging out in her dorm room before visiting hours (for those of you who aren't familiar with buy customs in the dorms boys can only be in your room from 7-9 on wednesdays and sundays). Gabby had gone to her cake class and we were just waiting for the guys to come over.... we decided to look up stupid youtube movies (a college student favorite apparently) this one started what kimmy likes to call "youtube speak" among me, whit, and gab
after watching this movie me and whit were literally on the floor crying.  it might be stupid but it has brought so many great memories and to this day if me and whit need a good laugh me and whit will start yelling "broah" in a very obnoxiously high voice.
my room mate gabby has probably got to be the funniest person that i know (other than my mom of course but i'll talk about her later).  she is completely her own person and when she gets talking she will just continue talking about whatever pops into her head without even pausing.  Something gabby has started doing this year is "leamering"... yes like the monkey.... so this is what she does
1. lay down on the ground in front of somebody's door
2. stick your arms and legs up like a dead cockroach
3. knock on the door
4. upon someone opening the door start saying "le le le leaaaammmuuureeee" with out laugh (it never happens btw)
5. do not get up until the door has been slammed in your face
gabby leamuring
so in other words me and my room mates are pretty funny.  fact i have an album on my computer just devoted to pictures of all the funny conversations that me and my room mate kim have had.  most of them involve her having an asian day and me making fun of her and "the tyler pew." we love doing really random things that to an extent make us seem like fools but it makes us laugh which is better than fighting and stabbing each other in the back (which is a common thing for girls if you don't believe me obviously you haven't seen the movie mean girls).

i live in a house of all girls and one dad... my poor father.... we like to believe that we are pretty funny.  we have all sorts of inside jokes that help us break the tension when we are fighting about who is wearing who's shirt or whose turn it is to unload the dishwasher. Often times we will be sitting at the dinner table and my mom will be leading the way in the jokes.  sometimes us girls forget that my mom is our mom and we just see her as our best friend joking around with us.  so what makes my mom laugh? monk.... kid history.... my sister rylee.... me.... rylee..... kid history.... rylee.

why is laughing so important? i mean if you are my dad (who does like to laugh) you might say it is immature to laugh so much... but i say that maturity is knowing when it is appropriate to laugh.  Here is what i have learned about laughing

laughter relaxes the whole body a good hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after
laughter boots the immune system laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection
laughter triggers the release of endorphins "endorphins make you happy and happy people just don't kill their husbands"..... endorphins create an overall sense of well being and can even help alleviate pain
laughter protects the heart laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.
laughing shifts perspective allowing you to see situation in a more realistic, less threatening light.  a humorous perspective create psychological distance, which can help you avoid feeling overwhelmed. ps michael was the best at this, he was always making people laugh.

here is a whole article on laughter.... but you see the benefits to laughing so here are some of my favorite things to laugh at. go ahead make your day better, become healthier, and happier check them out!

buy doesn't sell any caffeinated drinks on campus... that is funny
