Greetings from the best area in the mission! I LOVE
HEATHRIDGE WARD! I love serving with Sister Hancock, and I LOVE being a
missionary in the Australia Perth Mission.
We have seen so many miracles this past week. Both Sister Hancock and I hit a personal high water mark for investigators found in one week. We have seen the miracles that come from being exactly obediant and trusting in the Lord's timing. I am having a hard time trying to decide which miracle I want to tell you about.... THERE WERE SO MANY!

Ok so first off, on Wednesday
it was Sister Hancock's birthday and I wrote in my planner that day
"day of miracles" and it sure was! We went to go follow up with some
former investigators that weren't home so we decided to knock the
street. We met a lady who let us in and we taught her right then about
the plan of salvation. she loved it! also she was from scottland so when
she talked i just really was happy... but don't worry i really was
listening to what she was saying not just listening to her talk :)
Later that day all of our appointments fell trhough... gee dang... so we
decided to finish up following up with the formers that we didn't
finish earlier in the day. We went to go meet mercedes who we really
felt strongly would be a great investigator! Insert awkward moemnt here
Sister Wyatt goes to open the screen door to knock on the regular door
and well the regular door was all ready open so the dogs tried to run
out of the house and we had to kinda kick them back in as quietly as we
could before knocking. BAHAHAHHAHA so then we knocked on the door and a
girl named caitlin answered. the dogs were trying to run outside and
so we were crouched down all 3 of us petting the dogs and talking and so
we asked if we could come in and share a message and keep the dogs from
running out. She let us in and we taught a powerful as lesson on the
restoration. we committed her to read the book of mormon and pray about
it and she said that she LOVES reading and is really excited to find
out for herself if its true. Sister Hancock is amazing and helped her
realize that even Jesus Christ was baptized by the proper autority of
John the Baptist and so if it is important for our perfect Savior how
much more important is it for us to be baptized by the proper autority.
OH MY GOSH I JUST LOVE THIS GOSPEL!
On Thursday
we had the opportunity to have specialized sisters training. Sister
Lindsay helped us really refine our teaching skills of listening, asking
inspired questions, and using the scriptures when teaching. Honestly,
as a mission we are all really good teachers... well let me rephrase
that we are all really good at inviting the spirit to teach... but as
sisters we have this problem. The problem is we think that we are
failing. Sister missionaries have a complex called "i'm never
goodenough so i'm going to cry and make sure that i never see anything
that i am good at because really it's never good enough". So really the
training was to put an end to that complex because now we have no excuse
to say that we aren't good enough because we have been trained on this
and we had it down so sisters stop being stupid. easier said than done.
Any way after that all the sisters got to go to kings park and "have
joy" we just walked around and didn't worry for once in our lives and
looked at the flowers and over the city and the water and were
remindinded that "OH MY GOSH I AM IN AUSTRALIA TEACHING THE GOSPLE...
CAN LIFE GET ANY BETTER?! I THINK NOT!" baisically we have really
inpired leaders who love us and want us to succseed. It was the best
day.
Ok so here is the really really exciting news. ON FRIDAY
MYLES WAS BAPTIZED! and even better Sister Simona nd I got to go back
to greenmount ward to be there. I was able to speak on the atonement.
It was probably the best night of my entire mission. It was a testimony
that people that you randomly meet on the street CAN and DO change.
Myles when from the hard core aussie that swore every other word to a
suit wearing member of the church, who is going to prepare himself to go
to the temple and raise his family in the church. I think the best
moement of the night was when Myles and I were sitting on the couch just
talking as everyone was leaving. He was telling me about how he just
knows that this is true and he isn't going to do it half way. He is
going to have children in the church and teach them to read from the
book of mormon. I was amazed that all this happened just because I
decided to follow a prompting and ask a random guy if he had time to
talk about jesus christ. heavenly father is really preparing people.
people not only to reiceve the gospel but to become some of our dearest
and most special friends. My heart is so full!
On Saturday Sister Hancock and I went to go follow up with some potentials from about a year ago. We knocked on the door and nobody was there but we had promised Heavenly Father that we wouldn't leave the street that he takes us to with out finding out why he wanted us there so we started tracting. We tracted about 5 houses with out any promising people. We were about to head off to visit some less actives that we had planned in but we decided to tract just 1 more house. A man came to the door and told us that his sister had just been over having luch with him and his wife and baby and told them that she was going back to church and felt really guilty that he wasn't going back with her. THEN he told us that just the night before him and his wife had been talking about where we go after this life. We were able to teach him a little bit about the plan of salvation, invite him to church, and set a return appointment for the next saturday with both him AND his wife. It is the best feeling when you know that you are doing the Lord's work and that we are finding the people that he has prepared for us.

I love serving with Sister hancock. I learn from her
everyday. Together we are working to not be complacent and to come
closer to Jesus Christ. Today! Everybody that reads this. Take the time
to make a list of just 3 things that you can do this week to come
closer to Christ. I know that if you do your best to do those 3 things
this week you will be able to have the BEST week of your life :)
I love this gospel! and I love that because of our savior I get to be with my family for eternity.
xoxo
Sister Wyatt
