It was so wonderful to talk to everybody this morning. Being away from my mother has never made me appreciate her more. It makes me think about how I feel being away from my Heavenly Father, I can't wait for the day when we all get to be together again with him... not that I'm suicidal or anything don't worry... I'm just having an eternal perspective ;)
We have been so blessed in our area this week. We were able to meet with Clive and teach him about most of the commandments. He is DOING AMAZING!!!!! I'm so grateful to get to be a witness of his conversion. Yesterday he stayed for ALL 3 HOURS of church. He asked questions in all the classes and he's excited for his baptism. We are going to teach him tonight again at the bishop's house, it's great having such a good relationship with the Bishop's family it makes such a difference in the work.
We were also able to set another baptismal date with our new investigator Hossain. He's so great he's from iran and he's felt that he's fallen off the path the past few years but feels frustrated by religion and how it can't seem to get along. He wants to know if the book of mormon is true really really really bad. It was so cute when we went to go and drop off the farsi book of mormon he was like "sisters when i find out that this is true I want to do what you are doing... it seems a lot better than what I do with my time." he's so wonderful. He's working towards baptism on the 5th of July. He works at subway on sundays but he said "don't worry I'll switch my hours with somebody so I can come." HE'S SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!! I have no idea why we are so blessed but I'm certainly not going to complain I'm just going to keep doing the work.
We also had a really neat experiance of getting to take a family name to the temple this week and do baptisms, confirmation, intitory, and endowment for our own family. It was the most wonderful experiance. The spirit was so strong as I was baptized for Malinda Smith Wyatt... I realized that families really are eternal and I'm excited for the day when I can meet her and we can talk about that sweet day in the temple together. We are going to teach Clive a bit about the temple tonight and as I was studying for it this morning I came accross this wonderful quote "In the church we build builidings of many kinds. IN them we worship, we teach, we find recreation, we organize. We can organize stakes and wards and missions and quorums and Relief Societies in these bulidings or even in rented halls But, when we organize families according to the order to the order that the Lord has revealed, we organize them in the temples." What a comfort it is to me to know that my family has been organized in the temple. I think about how difficult it is to stay organized in the world. I mean in missionary work we take nearly an entire day just to organize and plan our work and it is HARD and mentally draining, but in temples it's where the spirit abounds and the organization is PERFECT! There is no doubt or questioning if it will work, it's in the perfect order. I'm so grateful for Heavenly Father he just helps us with EVERYTHING! This is HIS WORK! Temple work, missionary work, FAMILIES! it's all his work. Let's just trust him and let him guide it :) let's just get out of the way and let the magic work. :)
I love being a missionary, I love the gospel, and I'm so grateful for the experiances that I have been given here.
Love forever,
Sister Wyatt
