2 days after Christmas my true love gave to me.... 3 baptismal dates!! (Dec 29 2013)

This week has been amazing! I have been so touched by The Spirit and the true meaning of Christmas.  On Christmas Eve we were able to spend it with some of our favorite ward families the Romney's and the Ta'ala's :) It was so fun we had a Marry and Joseph dinner and reinacted the Nativity.  The missionaries were the shepheards and so we borrowed some towels and sheets from our ward mission leader so we could really look the part (see attached picture where I look a little drugged but lets be honest we all know that I probably just couldn't stop talking and that was a picture taken mid-sentance).  I LOVE this idea of eating what marry and joseph would have eaten on christmas eve. Cheese, dates, grapes, nuts, flat bread, you would think that you would still be hungry but actually it was very satisfying and delicious!
On Christmas day I woke up THE best surprise ever! Sister Hancock had turned our flat into a winter wonderland and EVERYTHING was white! she even had little pieces of cut up paper for me to throw at her like a snow ball.  She had gotten all the ward and missionaries and our investigators to cut out the snow flakes and help with it.  I felt so loved by everybody and so grateful that I have such a loving and wonderful companion.  :) She even made us a hot cup of milo to drink first thing while opening our gifts.  We had Christmas breakfast with a family in the ward, but before we ate we read the scriptures for about an hour and really talked about the miracle of Christ's birth, it was great except.... we usually eat at about 7:15 in the morning sooooo we were pretty hungry by the time we got around to eating.  The rest of the day was spent skyping :) and visiting our investigators, and less actives.... they were all feeling the Christmas spirit.
The mission is doing better than ever before!!!! On friday we went to MLC I love it when we get training from President, because he is so inspired for what our mission needs next.  In the past 4 months the mission has done better than it has ever done in the history of the mission... ever.  It's because about 6 months ago as a mission we began reading the book of mormon together and we were all further converted to Jesus Christ.  The answer to any problem that any of us face is to simply love our savior Jesus Christ more.  and we have truly seen that as the mission has hit an all time high of baptisms per year with each person having a deeper level of conversion.  IT'S AMAZING! As we recieved training I was overwhelmed with how perfectly Heavenly Father leads missions.  The new focus this month is on member present lessons.  Which is perfect because we just focused on teaching church worship instead of church attendance.  When the members and missionaries come together and work in unity the work of salvation can't even be stopped. One thing that was said I loved, we as missioanries are so good at their work we can find, teach, invite to baptism, get them to church, and help them recieve the ordinance of baptism but if we don't include the members in our work then it's the same as them not including us in their work with their friends.  We have to be united as members of God's kingdom for all of salvation to come about.  :) We are going to hold our maginfying glass and really focus in until all of western australia has caught the fire that the spirit brings!!!!
After the training on Friday Sister Hancock and I went and taught Rose, Carlo, and Esperansa all about the restoration.  They are all from the Phillipeans and they all live with the Varella's a less active family in the ward... who are key to like 5 of our investigators.  It was one of the most powerful lessons I have ever been apart of and at the end all 3 of them agreed to work towards being baptized on the 1st of Febuaray.  We are hoping that history won't repeat it's self and now that we have set a date with them we will be able to see them again since every date we have set since emily we haven't ever seen them after.
I love this gospel and I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and this special time of the year.  I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and you have a great and safe start to your new year :)
love,
Sister Wyatt
