I not sick because I'm more righteous... Jk! (August 25)

So this week our entire district has gotten sick. Sister Payze can't even talk and all the elder's sound like morgan freeman... our district leader actually has pneumonia... who even knew that was possible when it's warm here and he hasn't even been biking in the rain. BUUUTTTT I haven't even gotten sick... it's probs because I'm more righteous than all of them and they are all being afflicted for their sins. jokes that is TOTALLY NOT what we teach. So that has been an adventure trying to teach the gospel with a mute companion hahahhaha
This week I finished the Book of Mormon. I LOVE THAT BOOK! It truly can heal any heart ache or frustration. When we read it every day we find that our lives very subtly are more aligned with God's will.  I can remember when we lived in Lander waking up to practice the piano (sometimes) and mom would be up reading her Book of Mormon. I used to think that wasn't ever something that I would be good at, but great news it is something that EVERYBODY can be good at :)
Funny story. Remember how growing up Mom always said you have to learn how to play the piano because when you grow up your talents will be needed in church? and I was always like no because someone else will know how.  Ya well here they don't. I had to play at the elder's baptism on Saturday... mom's words were echoing in my head the whole time. shoulda coulda woulda.... moral of the story don't let any moment pass by! I love President Eyring's talk This day when he says
"There is a danger in the word someday when what it means is “not this day.” “Someday I will repent.” “Someday I will forgive him.” “Someday I will speak to my friend about the Church.” “Someday I will start to pay tithing.” “Someday I will return to the temple.” “Someday …”
The scriptures make the danger of delay clear. It is that we may discover that we have run out of time. The God who gives us each day as a treasure will require an accounting. We will weep, and He will weep, if we have intended to repent and to serve Him in tomorrows which never came or have dreamt of yesterdays where the opportunity to act was past. This day is a precious gift of God. The thought “Someday I will” can be a thief of the opportunities of time and the blessings of eternity."

so i guess i'll repent of that one.

But really this week has been a pretty good week. On Tuesday we organized a blitz (where all the missionaries in the district and our leaders come to our area and work for a few hours) in our area of all the unknown people on our ward list. We were able to get in contact with several families that have non member children. that we are hoping to be able to teach in the coming weeks :) so that was happy!!!

I love this gospel. I love being a missionary. The blessings that come from following the gospel are innumerable.

Love,
Sister Wyatt
