the time i willingly ate a mussell... again.. (June 9)

This week has been amazing.  Me and Sister Simon have been teaching so many appointments it's been hard for us to even have enough time to do our planning.  It is such a blessing for us to have so many appointments and people wanting to hear the gospel.
Angie is doing PHENOMENAL! she came to church yesterday and LOVED it.  It was really funny in Sunday School we were teaching about keeping the sabbath day holy and we were talking about how the gospel is not meant to be a bunch of you can'ts but to be you will be blessed's.  She was like "I heard that I have to give up coffee... Monica told me... This morning I went to go make coffee and I just had to pour it out because I knew it wasn't what God wanted me to do.... I called Monica and was like YOU RUINED MY COFFEE FOR FOREVER!" Me and Sister Simon were laughing our heads off at this point because that is just so how Angie is.  She just wants to do the right thing and even if we haven't taught her all the rules yet she tries to live the ones she hears about.  She is so willing, she is just thirsting for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Angie really makes me think about how blessed we are to be raised in the Gospel.  If Angie had had the gospel in her life when she was growing up she would have turned out very differently.  She would be married in the temple and have a family that was striving to do the right thing.  Now she is struggling to stay off drugs and get her self in order.  She is surviving just to get the gospel.  And the gospel is the start to where her life can be good.
I love that our Heavenly Father provides a way for us to be happy.  Angie has been devouring the book of mormon she sends us texts every couple of hours telling us she's read another 5 chapters.  The Book of Mormon really does heal families, hearts, and make us strong.
I love you guys! Keep doing the right thing ok?

xoxo
