WE HAD A BAPTISM!!!!! yesterday
Grace was able to get baptized AND confirmed. It was so normal. There
wasn't any assault afterwards. There weren't any worries that her and
her family would become inactive in the church. it was a miracle. So
let's back up a little bit in the story. So last week we found out that
Grace's family is moving down south to a town called Albany. It's all
been happening really quite fast for them and it was rather upsetting to
grace and so we were supposed to go visit her last Sunday
but she ended up going on holiday with her best friend and so we
weren't able to drive up and see her so we planned on coming up on Tuesday but she still wasn't home. we were getting nervous that we wouldn't be able to see her and teach her before she moved. So on Thursday we drove up and taught her all of the commandments in 1 marathon lesson. IT WAS SO GOOD! she is just an angel. Then on Friday
we had to drive up again and bring the Elder's with us so Elder Liutai
could interview her for baptism she passed and we were all set for
baptism.
On Sunday
we drove up, it was awesome as soon as we walked in the branch OVER
WHELMED us with love and excitement. They don't have missionaries
assigned up there but it is bursting with work to be done. Everyone
there had people that they wanted us to teach and they were so excited
to talk to us about the missionary work they had been doing. It was so
great to see members that weren't expecting to help us with our work but
instead having us help THEM with the work THEY are doing. It's exactly
what the brethren taught in the work of salvation broadcast. Me and
Sister Simon spoke in sacrament meeting. There was only about 15 people
there. It was amazing. While I was speaking I was overwhelmed by the
potential that the branch had. The church started in Jesus' time with
just him calling to peter come follow me and by the time of his death he
was feeding 5,000. Since the church has been restored we started with
just 6 people in upstate new york and now we have 90,000 missionaries
taking the gospel all over the world. IT'S AMAZING!this work can't stop!
I love it!
I love you all. I am so grateful for your undying support. Keep praying.
