wake up and punch satan in the face... with a bike

HELLO everybody!
Well I'm still here in the MTC... IT ROCKS! but in all seriousness me and Sister Ensign are just killing it here.  We just LOVE being here... funny story President Nally (the mtc president) just came up behind me and was laughing at mom passing me insider information on where I'm being reassigned.... so according to mom I'll leave Tuesday to Washington if my visa doesn't come before then.... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so any way back to what me and Sister Ensign do here at the MTC.  Well for one we usually eat with the elderly... it's an adventure because usaully they can't hear very well so they think we are doing all sorts of exciting things like serving a mission in the grand canyon.  A couple of days ago we were eating with a senior couple and Sister Ensign asked if he could pass her a napkin..... for some reason he started looking at his shoes under the table... it was so funny.  Me and Sister Ensign had to excuse our selves to go get some more cranberry juice so we could laugh our heads off with out offending them.

So on Sunday we had the coolest experiance.... but really.  It was Easter (i hope you knew that before now) and so we had an Easter Morning Devotional, where all 3,000 missionaries were able to take the sacrament all together.  The spirit was really powerful.  They had on the projectors a slideshow silently flipping through pictures of Christ. I have never felt so close to the savior as I did when I was taking the sacrament on easter sunday pondering on his scarifice for me with thousends of others who want to serve him as much as I do.  I bet Satan hated that meeting because I know that everyone I talked to left with a new understanding of the Savior's sacrifice for us and a new resolve to be even more dedicated to him.  The Savior was the perfect example of love and if there is one thing that I have learned since being at the MTC any deciple of Jesus Christ can recieve the gift of love all they have to do is ask.  When we love like the Savior does, we have the opportunity to disolve hatered. I love the word disolve, to make some thing dissapper, to get rid of, when something is dissolved it doesn't have any remains it turns to something else.... LOVE! I JUST WANT TO LOVE THE CRAP OUT OF EVERY PERSON I MEET! (even bonnie in the travel office who hates me.... which i don't get since i'm the lord's servant... whatevs though)

So this week me and Sister Ensign had the opportunity to start teaching 3 new investigators.  Karen, Fred, and Lochmond (from Haiti).  Karen is an alcholic who has a sister that joined the church and she just wants the same happiness that her sister has.  Fred is a 71 year old man who's wife died of cancer 3 years ago.  He prayed really hard when his wife was sick that she would get better and has felt bitter at God that she was never healed and his prayers weren't answered.  Lochmond is a very interesting person, he has been baptized 11 times and even paid $2,000 to a church to get clean but he doesn't feel clean.  When we started teaching him he was like "what makes your church better than all the otheres, all the other church tell me that i be clean if I be baptized but I not clean." We tried having Lochmond pray our first visit his response was "yes, I pray all the days" he had an amazing relationship with the Savior all ready and thought that we spent too much time talking at God and not listening.  When we prayed with him we were all kneeling down and Lochmond folded himself over and prayed with his face on the ground. He didn't say anything for 5 minutes.  Me and Sister Ensign were so taken aback... it took everything with in us to not laugh at him.  By the end of the lesson we realized that we were not focusing on who Lochomond was going to become we were focused on teaching him how to pray to God our way, which really didn't even matter because he all ready communicated with God very regularly.  Me and Sister Ensign were very humbled as we realized that we weren't trying to help Lochmond we were trying to teach a lesson... we went and asked Heavenly Father to help us learn how to see our investigators as they can become and how we can learn to HELP them come unto him and have a relationship.  Interesitngly enough we ran into Brother Starkie at lunch and told him about what happened.  He suggested that we learn how to ask better questions because according to Elder Holland (love that man btw) "if you are asking the right questions your investigators will TELL you what they need help with." Me and Sister Ensign started changing the way we taught, we started asking questions that prompted soul searching, commitment, and thought, just like the Savior did.  Our next lesson with Lochmond he was BEGGING to be baptized and had no problem commiting to do whatever heavnly father wanted him to do so that way he could be clean.  Fred realized that through the atonement his heart could be healed and if he chose to be baptized he and his wife Grace could be sealed for all eternity.  Karen is trying to break her addiction.  Out of all our investigators she is having the hardest time.  We are still trying to figure out what she needs to help her make that connection with Heavenly Father and gain the faith that he loves her even though she has this addiction.

I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! I LOVE IT SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
