2 cheeky monkeys swinging from a tree teasing mr. crocodile can't catch me (August 11)

WOW! where to begin I don't even know... ok so the last time I sent home a proper email we had just found out that I would be staying in Midland and my companion would be Sister Payze... but the problem with that was that her mom is in greenmount ward (she moved there as sister payze got her call super crazy right?) so we called the assistants and told them the problem and they called us back really quickly and told me that I would be training in Midland... WHAT?! so that was crazy... but then President called me later that day and told me that he had been praying and really really really felt strongly that me and Sister Payze needed to be companions so we would be serving in Maylands together. I WAS SO SAD! Midland was mine and Sister Simon's baby and we had 2 solid baptismal dates and we had good ward relationships and if we were doubled out they would have to start all over... stupid! I cried... but I think that it's been good for Myles because he's started doing everything more diligently and working harder to find out for himself... he's still solid and working towards baptism. Maylands is only like 10-15 minutes away from Midland so we are still in the same zone so I'll be able to go to to his baptism and I get to see the Sisters in Midland like all the time so it's great :)
So now lets talk about maylands... IT'S CRAZY HARD! because we are on bikes and it has more hills than any where in the mission apparently because sister payze has served in nearly every area because she's never had a companion longer than 6 weeks.  We have had some really cool miracles though.  On Wednesday it was POURING rain... which you guys know that I love the rain and it was fun! but we had been out contacting all day and we really hadn't had much success... but we were determined to still be happy :) We were in the very furthest corner of our area and we had to hurry home because we were going to dinner with the jordan's so we started to bike home and it started raining so hard I couldn't even see in front of me.  we rode past a house and I saw a man sitting on his porch looking at us like we were crazy... obviously we are a little crazy I mean two girls riding their bikes IN SKIRTS in the POURING rain... SMILING from ear to ear... ya we are a little crazy. But we just kept riding because we had to get home in time to go to the jordans. I remembered reading in Preach My Gospel that morning about how to find more investigators was to talk with everyone.  So I turned around and so did Sister Payze luckily hahaha.  We walked up to his porch and he was like I don't believe in God because everybody has just been programed to think that way from when they are born.  We explained to him about the light of Christ and then gave him a book of Mormon.  He was really sincere when he said that he would read it and try to change his mind about religion.  We bore our testimonies that we knew it was true because we had prayed about it... and besides that's the only way we would EVER be out in rain like this.  Then we prayed with him and he asked us to come back this week.  SO COOL!  It just goes to show every single time you are exactly obedient to a rule you will get the blessings.  IT'S A PROMISE FROM OUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER! and a promise is a promise.  We got another new investigator after that on our way home and we made it back in time for dinner with the Jordans.  It was a great day to be a missionary in Western Australia :).
Another funny story that we had actually happened the day before.  We had been at zone meeting and we were going to get a ride home from our district leader when Sister Lindsay came out and was like Sisters lets go to lunch.  I LOVE SISTER LINDSAY! she is so funny! and so sweet.  And I was so excited.  We got really spicy chicken and chips and just sat and talked and it was so funny because she was so proud of herself because she's been remembering to take hand sanitizer with her and she made us use it.  but any way after that we were heading to an appointment with our new friend Alf and I was so excited to teach him. So right after Sister Lindsay dropped us off we jumped on our bikes and headed down the hill... but then I got hit by a car.... so we had to stop... I was so annoyed but then I realized that this was a great opportunity to try and share the gospel so I tried talking to the guy about it while I was sitting there on the ground and he was like "no i'm not religious" and then he left.  I WAS SO MAD! what the heck you don't just hit a servant of the lord with a car and then not listen to them! so dumb. any way the elders came and picked us and our bikes up and drove us to our lesson and then picked us up and dropped us off at our flat where I had to ice my leg and rest for the rest of the afternoon sister lindsay's orders.  That night the Elders came and gave me a blessing and the next day I was totally fine, it was funny though. Typical Kalli story right? Bev and Margeen will die when they hear it (make sure they do hear it! ok?)
Any way things here are going great! I LOVE the gospel.  This morning I was reading in the book of Mormon.... in the book of mormon hahah it's funny because it's the same... any way
I was reading about how wicked the people got during mormon's time.  in chapter 2:13 he says "13 But behold this my joy was vain, for their asorrowing was not unto repentance, because of the goodness of God; but it was rather the bsorrowing of the cdamned, because the Lord would not always suffer them to take dhappiness in sin." The nephites were sorrowing because they were struggling but they weren't changing! If we want to change our situation.. we must be sorrowful... but not a pity part sorrow... just sorrowful enough to change! I LOVE repentance. I love the book of Mormon. and Most of all I love my Savior who helps me through everything.  He knows me perfectly and he totally gets me, but more than that he totally gets the perfect me so he is always going to help me get there.
Family be diligent.  Read every day. Pray every day personally AND as a family.  As we do these small things we will see mighty miracles in our lives because the Savior will become our focus.
