well the time has FINALLY come! tomorrow i will be set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so. excited. when i started this blog it was just for myself to use as an outlet to record what makes me happy. i figure since this is my last post as not a missionary i'll talk about what makes me happiest!
people make me happy... their quirks... their personalities... being friends with them. people are the most important.
as i am leaving this is what is hardest to leave behind... the people. i'm not afraid of not having a phone, or not seeing the next episode of psych, but i am sad to be leaving my people, and when i come home i know i will be sad to leave the people of australia.
right now in the living room ellen is bouncing up and down, quinici is talking about how she is going to write me only in poems describing her depression with out me, emma is reading (like always), and i just know that this church is true and it's the most important thing anybody could learn about other wise i would never leave my people.
so parting words of wisdom... be nice to each other, always give people another chance, laugh more than you cry, but when you cry be grateful because nothing stays bad, eat chocolate... LOTS of chocolate, and never sit out when you can join in.
au revoir my people! the next post will be from the field! <3 <3 <3
ps here is my mtc address and i'll be there till march 25th.

a clean slate!
happy new year erreybody! but seriously it's such a great feeling! it's like when you buy new notebooks at the beginning of the school year and you just have that fresh start feeling. it gives you the motivation to take better care of your skin, work out more, and be so much kinder.
this blog has been such an amazing outlet for me to realize how wonderful and happy life is. even when i crashed my car, or i was unsure about the reality of my mission, i was able to see how happy my beautiful life is.
as i am preparing to serve my mission and this is the begging of a new year i feel a greater strength as i try to be better. i feel the need to reach a little higher and try a little harder (you've heard it before right?)
i have 3 commitments that i am going to make this year and i want to put them on the blog so everybody can see them and i'll be better!
1. work out 5 days a week-- i hear that australians are quite athletic also i truly believe that when your body is strong so is your mind and spirit
2. go to the temple at least 2 times a week-- president taylor challenged me to go 30 times before i leave on my mission so if you wanna come along lemme know
3. write in my journal every day -- i love blogging but there is something special about writing in a journal and i can be a little more personal in my journal. i need to be better about writing and recognizing the lord in my life every single day.
2012 was an amazing year i honestly can say i don't have any regrets. 2013 is going to be even more amazing! AUSTRALIA HERE I COME!!!!
here are a few pictures from the festivities the past couple of weeks <3

guys look at how wide i can open my mouth
thanksgiving break was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. getting to spend time with my family is probably my favorite thing to do right now. my sisters are probably the funniest people i know... but really. our road trip down to roosevelt included some of the best quotes i have ever heard. here are just a few to show you on what you missed out on... be jealous
in addition to driving in the car we also visited some of our most awesome friends, ate some delicious food, drew secret sisters, celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday, jumped the border with some coke.... diet coke, and had an all around great time. it was the best last thanksgiving (until after australia) a girl could ask for!
rylee to emma "no blowing your nose in the car"
me to the entire car "let's talk continuously till we get there" quinci " guys that won't even be hard for me"
dad to rylee "rylee where are those sunglasses?" rylee "in my vortex" dad "what's a vortex?" rylee "my room"
dad in response to quinci's incessant need to touch everybody constantly "quinci.... impulse control!"
me "let's play the song dedication game" dad "no"
emma helping me and rylee conspire to take over the driving of the car and the radio "if they try to kick you out shout rosa parks"
rylee "can we shut the door?!" mom "can you shut the heck up?"
emma "is it just me or has the horse race gotten lazier"
ellen "i'm the only one who is mormon because nobody checked me out" (we aren't sure where that logic came from)
mom in response to rylee saying the parents couldn't take her phone because she pays for it "if you paid for cigarettes we would still take them away"
me in response to quinci asking what i was like when i was 12 "when i was twelve i never left my room i read the entire work and the glory in 3 months i watched bonanza and i licked popcorn bags"
