We Are Going On A Bear Hunt!

HELLLLLOOOOO from the sunny... wait for it.... MTC! ha I bet y'all thought that I was going to say Australia, but the joke is on you! So there has been some pretty big changes in my life since last Thursday (which was my last P-Day).  But wait Sister Wyatt why are you emailing on Wednesday??? That's not your P-Day... well yes fellow reader it's not my usual P-Day if you let me tell what's going on I'm sure all your questions will be answered.  So last P-Day shortly after we finished emailing we got the news that Sister Hadlock and Sister Beckstrand were going to be temporarily reassigned to Spokane Washington because their visas hadn't gone through. All the other missionaries going to Australia that weren't reassigned were told that their visas were at the consolate so to come on Friday and find out if they had come.  We went on Friday morning and at lunch and the very nice ladies in the travel office told us to come on Monday to find out if we would be traveling or not. On Monday (our original departure date) we ran to the travel office as soon as it opened (by this time we had sent off sister hadlock and sister beckstrand to spokane), there wasn't any news, so we went at lunch, still no news, keep in mind we were set to travel at 4:30 that day, so we went and finished packing and at 2:30 we went back to the travel office and were informed that we would not be leaving that day. We were heart broken. That night we had to say goodbye to the rest of our district.  It truly felt like our family was being torn from us.  Me and Sister Ensign sat in our classroom and cried and cried and cried, it's amazing how close you can become to people in such a short amount of time when you are bonded over the gospel. Me and Sister Ensign and the other missionaries going to Australia are now in a district that is going to be doing the ciriculum that was cut when the time was cut down at the MTC.  According to a training supervisor (our teacher's boss?) if we don't have our visas by Friday then we will be reassigned and will be heading out either Saturday or Monday.

This week has been crazy, I never would have thought 2 weeks ago (it feels like so much longer than that) when I came into the MTC that I would be where I am today.  On Suday our wonderful 2nd counselor in the branch presidency's wife gave a talk about the children's story "we are going on a bear hunt" she talked about how in the story they each came to challenges and trials in their bear hunt, and they couldn't go over the challenge, or under, so they had to go through the trial.  Our Savior has gone THROUGH every single trial that we have in life, and he didn't even have to.  Because of him, we like the family in the bear hunt story, never have to be afraid to face trials.

On Monday night after our district left us Sister Ensign and I were studying in our lonely classroom.  I flipped to chapter 6 in PMG which is about Christlike attributes.  The next one I was planning to study was hope.  I love what it says "hope is an abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promises to you. It is manifest in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perseverance.  It is believe and expecting that something will occur.  When you have hope, you work through trials and difficulties with confidence and assurance that all things will work together for your good." After reading that I found myself reading in Alma chapter 57 verses 10-11 "Therefore we did pour out our souls in prayer to God, that he would strengthen us and deliver us.... The Lord our God did visit us with assurances that he would deliver us... he did speak peace to our souls, and did grant unto us great faith and did cause us that we should hope..." It was an answer to mine and Sister Ensign's prayers.  All though this week has been tough and we have felt lonely with out our district, we have never been closer to our Heavenly Father. I can promise you that he will ALWAYS answer our prayers!

I love you all and I am so grateful for your continued support!

p.s. this morning when me and Sister Ensign were trying to go to the temple I couldn't find my MTC ID card.  We had looked EVERY WHERE and in all our bags and drawers and in the bathroom and couldn't find it.  Finally we decided to say companionship prayer and then look one last time before leaving.  We said prayer and then we were going to go look in the bathroom again when I looked down and saw that it had been clipped to my skirt the whole time..... see Heavenly Father does answer prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahha
