if a meteor was headed straight towards you and you had 6 hours to live what would you do?!

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this whole writing home thing has got to be the most exciting/stressful/really stressful thing i have done today! here at the mtc life is exciting, fast paced, and scheduled to the max.  I LOVE IT.  but seriously can i just take a second and tell you everything that i love.

i love having a companion... a person who has to talk to you no matter what and who always ALWAYS ALWAYS has your back
i love going to class and learning from God (we learned on the fist day that if you learn from men you are breaking the commandments) we are always striving to be taught from God
i love praying, we pray ALLLLLLL the time! we pray when we start personal study, and then when we finish and then we pray when we start companion study and when we finish we pray before we roll play and then we pray during the role play we pray over our food and we pray as companionships and as apartments and as districts and as zones and as branches we are ALWAYS praying.
i love sleeping on the top bunk... since rylee always got the top bunk i am loving not having to let her have it
i love wearing cute skirts every day!
i love waking up early and feeling like i have given every second of my day to the lord and none of it was wasted
i love talking to the sisters and always feeling uplifted
i love running into familiar faces in the cafateria
i love convincing the elder's that their visas havent come and that is what the weird red 1 on their travel plans meant and that they are going to be delayed... that was a great moment
i love getting mail! thank you to every person who has sent me care packages (sister goodwin, the howards, my wonderful perfect sweet mommy) and to everyone who has sent me letters! it really makes my day and makes me feel so special
i love going to gym and running my guts out with sister ensign and sister beckstrand while sister hadlock tries to break the mile record
i love teaching our investigators ryan and michelle
i love personal study
i love all of the firesides and devotionals
i love going to mtc choir practice
i love the MTC president and his wife who were the mission presidents in perth at one time
i love temple walks
i love missionary work
i love getting to spend every second of the day thinking about my heavenly father and how much we are blessed

to any girls thinking about going on a mission, do it! DO IT! it will change your life in a way that nothing else will, you will love it. don't be afraid because heavenly father will take care of you! do it!

ok so let's get some more details here... my companion is sister kelsie hadlock from mapelton utah.  she has one of the most tender hearts of anybody i have ever met. we are both bubbly and outgoing... allthough sister hadlock can out talk me any day of the week.  she is the BEST at remembering where scriptures are and always is reading them to us in class (even if we are already five minutes over time).  She has the most beautiful singing voice and on average gets about 17 letters a day.... she REALLY really really LOVES the mail.  So inbetween her asking the district leaders when the mail is going to be picked up and uplifiting us with scriptures Sister Hadlock is always making me smile, she always makes me feel like i am so important and i don't know of any one more excited to help others... except for you know the Savior he got dibs on that award.

one thing that we have learned this week is that every person has different problems and you can't teach every person the same because they are so different and that's the way heavenly father wanted it to be.  but even though there are so many different circumstances there is still always one answer and that is the gospel of jesus christ.  no matter what you are going through, and no matter how unique your challenge might be the answer will ALWAYS be found in the gospel.  if you live close to the commandments and obey our heavenly father he is going to bless you no matter what.  yesterday our investigator ryan (who is committed for baptism on april 6th) opened the door and almost didn't let us in because his girl friend's father told him he had to choose between the mormons or her.  he was really torn and felt like every time he tried to do something good with god he was punished by the world.  me and sister hadlock were totally blindsided by this and were at a loss of what to say. thank goodness we aren't the ones in charge of teaching and the spirit took over at that point.  ryan invited us back and is still set on baptism.  he wasn't sure what to do about katelyn's father but we bore testimony that if he turned to heavenly father he would take care of him.

have i said recently that i LOVE this work?!

on saturday night i had really been strugging to get the spirit.  i was feeling a little frustrated with myself and those feelings can't coinside with the spirit.  i was almost in tears when we went to go teach ryan.  me and sister hadlock said a prayer pleading for the spirit to come back and that we wouldn't feel afraid during the lesson.  in the lesson ryan prayed for the first time in his life.  i felt the spirit so strong during his simple prayer.  when we got out of our lesson i was still feeling emotional when brother alec starkie came walking down the hall.  side note: that morning i had been needing a little boost and asked heavenly father if he wanted me to see brother starkie while at the mtc if he would let me know... great new heavenly father ALWAYS answers our prayers :)

i wish that i had more time to tell you all of the beautiful experiances that i am having but i don't.... i love each of you SO much! i am so grateful for my beautiful supportive family and i love reading your emails and letters.

take luck!
